Life without myomas
Myomas are more common than supposed. Myomas that do not cause any symptoms are often discovered by chance during the gynecological examination. Since the proliferation of the uterine muscles is generally harmless, surgery is not absolutely necessary in such cases.
Myomas that cause symptoms such as severe and painful menstrual bleeding, or even have effects on a planned or existing pregnancy, should be treated.
With the HOLA® laser procedure from biolitec®, myomas can be gently removed with laser light during uterine endoscopy (hysteroscopy). Uterine endoscopy is usually also performed for diagnosis. Depending on the location of the myomas, they can be removed on an outpatient basis and without anesthesia.
